Is every piece handmade?
Yes! Every stained glass and fused glass piece is individually handcrafted by me in my home studio in northern Michigan. Each piece is made with care and attention to detail.
Are all of your pieces one of a kind?
Many of my pieces are completely unique, while others are made from a favorite design in limited quantities. Because each piece is handcrafted and glass has natural variations in color, texture, and pattern, no two pieces are ever exactly alike. That's one of the reasons I will make multiple copies of the same design... each one is still different!
Do you accept custom orders?
Absolutely! If you have an idea for a special gift or a piece for your home, I’d love to hear about it. Whether you’re looking for stained glass, fused glass, or something uniquely your own, custom orders are accepted based on my availability and the complexity of the design.
Can I choose different colors for a design?
In many cases, yes! If I have the glass colors available, I’m happy to customize a design to better match your style or décor. Keep in mind though that this means creating a new projects vs shopping from an already produced piece. That adds time.
Do you ship?
Yes. Most pieces can be carefully packaged and shipped throughout the United States. Shipping costs vary depending on the size and destination of the artwork.
How do I display stained glass?
Most stained glass pieces include a hanging chain or loop and are designed to be displayed in a window or another location where they can catch the light. For the best experience, place your piece where natural sunlight can shine through the glass. Select items do not have a chain/loop soldered onto the frame in which case a stand can be used to display the piece.Â
How do I care for my artwork?
Use a soft, dry or slightly damp microfiber cloth to gently remove dust. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners (such as Windex), as they can damage the finish. Fused glass and stained glass are both durable, but they should be handled with reasonable care to prevent chips or breakage. On occasion, stained glass can develop "white mold" (lead oxidation) which can be gently cleaned with dawn dish soap or baking soda.
Is your artwork safe to display in a sunny window?
Yes! Stained glass is made to be enjoyed in natural light, and the colors won’t fade from normal sun exposure. Fused glass pieces displayed indoors can also be enjoyed in bright, sunny spaces.
Do you sell at art shows and markets?
Yes! I regularly participate in art fairs and local events. Visit the Upcoming Events page to see where I’ll be next.
